Relegation threatened Watford and Norwich City will face off at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening. Both sides desperately need three points from the game in order to bolster their chances of safety.

Watford vs Norwich City-Team News

Watford

Watford is entering the game on the back of a 3-0 humbling at the hands of Chelsea. They have lost their last three league games and are without a win in five games. However, Nigel Pearson’s side will fancy their chances of beating Norwich who are rooted to the bottom of the standings and who look destined for relegation. They also won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Carrow Road earlier this season.

Injuries: Watford has no fresh injury concerns. Gerard Deulofeu, Isaac Success and Daryl Janmaat all remain injured. Danny Welbeck is unlikely to be risked and will probably not start. Craig Cathcart and Roberto Pereyra could be set to be handed starts.

Watford possible starting lineup:
Foster; Mariappa, Cathcart, Dawson, Masina; Hughes, Chalobah; Sarr, Doucoure, Pereyra; Deeney

Watford Premier League form: WLDLLL

Norwich City

Norwich enter the game in last place on the league standings and six points adrift of their nearest rival Bournemouth. Its going to take something just short of a miracle for Daniel Farke’s side to avoid the drop this season.

Injuries: Norwich are set to welcome back Todd Cantwell and Teemu Pukki to their starting lineup. Christoph Zimmermann who recently returned to training is expected to return to action before the season ends. Sam Byram and Moritz Leitner will not return soon.

Norwich City possible starting lineup:
Krul; Aarons, Godfrey, Klose, Lewis; McLean, Tettey; Buendia, Duda, Cantwell; Pukki

Prediction: Watford 1-0 Norwich

Even though both sides are struggling, Norwich’s confidence is lower. Watford will also go into the game fired up as it is a golden chance for them to claim three points.
