Tottenham Hotspur will be targeting nothing less than victory when they face off against Sheffield United in a Premier League clash at Bramall Lane on Thursday. Spurs enter the contest ninth points adrift of fourth place Chelsea. With third place Leicester City in poor form, the race for a top four finish could go down to the wire.

Sheffield were a surprise package during the first half of the season has been in poor form since the resumption of the league. Chris Wilder’s side have lost three out of their four league games since the re-start which all but kills their chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Sheffield have been in poor form since the league re-started. They are ten points adrift of fourth place Chelsea. Though they were touted as potential top four candidates prior to the league break, it is hard to see that happening now. The Blades can still hope for a strong finish in the top half of the standings though.

Injury news: Blades defender John Lundstram is a doubt for the game after suffering a shoulder injury whilst playing against Arsenal on Sunday. Jack O’ Connell who has sat out all Sheffield’s games since the re-start is believed to be nearing full fitness.

This has been a frustrating season for Tottenham. They were struggling during the first-half of the season. The COVID-19 break may have been a blessing in disguise for the Lilywhites as it allowed their two key men- Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min to recover from their respective injuries.

Injury news: Spurs will have to make do without the services of Japhet Tanganga who has a back injury. Juan Foyth will also miss the game.
