Leeds United vs Millwall: Championship preview

Leeds United are due to face off against Millwall in a Championship encounter at Elland Road on Tuesday night. After a recent frustrating run of form, Leeds will be looking for a win in order to calm their nerves.

They will however not face an easy test against Millwall. The Lions are on form at the moment and are in eighth place on the league standings, just two points behind Preston North End who occupy the final promotion playoff place.

When the two sides met earlier this season at the Den, it was Millwall who managed to win 2-1.

Team news:

The Whites will have to make do without midfielder Kalvin Phillips who received a red card during the game against Queens Park Rangers following a challenge on Geoff Cameron.

Ian Poveda could be set to make his debut for the Whites after joining the Yorkshire giants from Manchester City last week. Striker Jean-Kevin Augustin is not expected to start after having joined the Whites from RB Leipzig on loan on Monday.

Form: league: L,L,D,W,D

Ryan Woods will be available after he was cup tied for the game against Sheffield United last weekend. Mahlon Romeo and Shaun Hutchinson are expected to return in defence for the Lions after having been rested against the Blades. Jed Wallace is expected to start in attack with boss Gary Rowett still deciding who will join him in a front three.

Form: league: W,D,W,W,D

Millwall will be confident after their win over Leeds earlier on during the season and they are also in good form whilst Leeds have been stuttering recently. This game could well end off in a draw.
