Crystal Palace vs Chelsea: Match Preview and Prediction

Fourth place Chelsea will be looking to record back to back wins when they face off against 12th place Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night. Palace fresh of a 3-0 mauling at the hands of Leicester City will similarly be looking to restore some confidence to their side.

Palace are out of form and have lost their last three games. A point will be a success for them from this game. They will be trying to ensure a strong finish on the top half of the standings from here on.

Injuries: Palace have no fresh injury concerns. They will be able to call upon the services of Christian Benteke who returned to action against Leicester. James McCarthy and Cheikhou Kouyate could be set to receive recalls. Martin Kelly, Jeffrey Schlupp and James Tomkins will all continue to remain out of action.

Chelsea

Chelsea bounced back from their 3-2 loss against West Ham with a comfortable 3-0 win against Watford. They are two points ahead of fifth place Manchester United who are in good form and so still have very little room for error. Chelsea has not been the best away side this season as they have picked up just one victory from their last six games on the road.

Injuries: N’Golo Kante who picked up a hamstring strain whilst playing against Watford is almost definitely going to miss the game. Mateo Kovacic and Fikayo Tomori are also likely to miss the game.
