Turkey vs Albania: Match preview
Important match for both rivals who are ranked first and fourth in the standings. Turkey scored six points more than Albania and it is clear that in the case of a defeat, the guests are virtually out of the game.
With the win they are still there, but the Turks also want to keep the top spot and get closer to the first two places in group. In the first match between these teams Turkey defeated Albania 2-0 as a guest.
Turkey’s four victories so far can be said to be expected, but the fifth one is a special story. They beat the current world champions with 2: 0 in their and are therefore placed in the first place of the qualifying group.
They spoiled a little impression right after the victory over France, as they lost away to Iceland and this is the only game so far in which they did not celebrate. This is a very important duel now, because in the event of a triumph, they would probably settle everything at home against the Icelanders. Tokoz won’t be playing in the midfielde, and there could be a change in composition with Yokuslu and Calhanoglu.
Probable lineup: Gunok – Celik, Demiral, Ayhan, Meras – Yokuslu, Tufan – Turuc, Kahveci, Calhanoglu – Tosun
Albania hasn’t dropped out of the placement game yet, but they are in a very difficult situation and will still need some miracle to finish. Four more rounds will be played and the Albanians are six points behind the leading two, one of which is Turkey.
It is imperative to win this match and then the calculation will be somewhat clearer, however, it is clear how difficult it will be to defeat Turkey. They managed to beat Iceland in the last round 4: 2 and it was their best game so far. There will be no Hysai in relation to that duel and Roshi will probably jump.
Probable lineup: Strakosha – Djimsiti, Dermaku, Ismajli – Gjasula, Abrashi – Roshi, Memushaj, Bare, Lenjani – Cikalleshi
Turkey is in a very favorable position when it comes to these qualifications and can further improve their chances by winning over Albania. The guests are solid in this cycle, but they do not have the strength to avoid defeat in Turkey.
