Union Berlin vs Eintracht Frankfurt: Match preview
The sixth round of the Bundesliga will be opened by the new first division team Union Berlin and European League participant Eintracht from Frankfurt. As expected, the guests have scored more points by now, but they are only in the middle of the table with four points more than Union Berlin.
The home team is just above the relegation zone and they can only boast with one win and Eintracht has two. The last time they met was in the second division in 2012, and then Eintracht won 4-0 in Berlin.
Union Berlin team news:
So far, Union Berlin have won a valuable victory, as they beat Borussia Dortmund in the third round at home with 3-1. It was a surprising triumph, as they suffered heavy damage on their ground from Leipzig in the first round.
In the second they drew with Augsburg. However, the match against the current vice-Champion seemed to be just one flash, as they lost twice again after that. The opponents were not very easy and Werder took the full spoil out of Berlin with a 2-1 victory when stopper Subotic received a red card in the match.
He could not help while visiting Leverkusen in the last round and they were defeated almost by the middle of the first half. By that time they had received two goals. Again, they received a red card from reservist Polter in the second half, just five minutes after he entered the game. As against Werder, the best individual was the Gikiewicz, and that says enough about how they played. Now Subotic is back on the stopper and that will probably be the only change.
Probable lineup: Gikiewicz – Trimmel, Subotić, Friedrich, Lenz – Becker, Andrich, Gentner, Bulter – Ingvartsen, Andersson
Eintracht Frankfurt team news:
Eintracht is playing changeable, but there are a lot of games for this team and it is not surprising that they fail to be good in continuity. The worse part for the team are away matches and they have experienced both defeats so far outside their home ground. Still, they hope this is a good opportunity to fix it.
At home court they celebrated in the first two round. In the last round they had to settle for a draw. Before that match they lost one match in Frankfurt and lost within the European League.
Arsenal celebrated with a safe 3-0, so in the continuation of that competition will be under more pressure. On Sunday they played the first draw of the season with Borussia Dortmund. They were losing twice and were able to draw 2: 2 by owning an opposing player two minutes before the end. The first goal is the work of new striker An.Silva, assisted by Sow, this year’s reinforcement in the midfield. There were a lot of changes to the duel against Arsenal, as expected. Now Abraham returns to the back line, Costa to the right, and Kamada to the midfield.
Probable lineup: Trapp – Abraham, Hinteregger, Hasebe – da Costa, Sow, Kamada, Kohr – Kostić – An.Silva, Paciencia
Union Berlin has shown that they are able to play a good match but fail to repeat it. They will try to make a surprise, which would certainly be a victory for the hosts. However, the more we trust the guests who have the better team and predict that they will not lose.
