After four games played, Freiburg is the Bundesliga’s most pleasant surprise, while Augsburg as expected to be low on the table. The host is on a great third place and they have won three games, with one unlucky defeat.
After three matches without a win, Augsburg has celebrated in the past round and have five points less than Freiburg. Last season, Freiburg destroyed Augsburg with 5-1 win at home.
Freiburg team news:
Freiburg is very good at the start of the season and they are only regretting the lost against Cologne when they had one point in their pocket and then received a goal in the referee’s time.
Before that, they had two wins with three goals each. First they beat Mainz 3: 0 then Paderborn away 3: 1. After their defeat to Cologne they played their best match and defeated Hoffenheim 3-0. The goals were scored by Gunter, Haberer and Petersen, so they achieved their third triumph with three goals scored.
There were a number of changes to the lineup, and obviously everything paid off, and now there may be only one, which means Grifo is stepping in instead of Frantz.
Probable lineup: Schwolow – Lienhart, R.Koch, Heintz – Schmid, Haberer, Hofler, Gunter – Holer, Grifo – Petersen
Augsburg team news:
Only one win has been achieved by Augsburg so far, but a good thing is they did in the last round. This means that their form is on the rise after scoring only one point in the first three rounds.
The away game at Union Berlin was 1: 1 and they lost two away games. In Dortmund it was 5-1 for Borussia, and in Bremen they did well with the player less due to the Lichtsteiner exclusion, however, in the end it was 3: 2 for the home side. It all worked out in the last round and Eintracht won 2-1. They get a goal every game and that’s bad, and now Lichtsteiner is back.
Probable lineup: Koubek – Lichtsteiner, Jedvaj, Uduokhai, Max – Moravek, Khedira – M.Richter, Vargas – Finnbogason, Niederlechner
Freiburg is the favorite, however, individually these rivals are of similar quality and therefore we are not so sure of the host’s triumph. It seems more realistic that in this match both teams will score.
