Leipzig vs Koln: Match preview
The Bulls are back in fantastic shape. At least that was two weeks ago, when the triumph over Hertha in Berlin rounded off a series of four consecutive victories. They achieved two in the championship, in addition to Hertha they also defeated Mainz, 8-0, and in the German Cup they won in Wolfsburg 6: 1.
This was compounded by the triumph against Zenit in the Champions League. Koln lost his coach, instead of Bayerlorcer, who immediately found an engagement in Mainz, arrived Markus Gizdol, who will have a “fiery baptism” on a difficult visit to Leipzig.
Koln is in a series of four defeats, three in the league and one in the Cup, which has hit fans hard since it came from Sarbriken. Leipzig is known to have an atomic attack, so Koln is in trouble.
Leipzig team news:
RB Leipzig is currently unstoppable. After introductory oscillations, the Nagelsmann team went on a brilliant run of scores. After six goals to the undefeated Wolfsburg in the DFB Cup, they showed Mainz the toughest defeat in history with eight goals scored and her own intact net.
The success of Leipzig continued on a demanding away game against Zenit in the Champions League, where they again won with two goals difference, just like in Berlin during his first away game with Hertha. Defensive players Orban and Mukiele must miss meeting with Koln due to injuries.
Probable lineup: Gulacsi, Laimer, Klostermann, Upamecano, Halstenberg, Sabitzer, Demme, Kampl, Nkunku, Poulsen, Werner.
Koln team news:
Only two victories in the opening eleven games of the season triggered all the alarms in Koln. That signed turned red when they were defeated by lower division Saarbrucken in the DFB Cup. The club decided to react during the national team break and brought in new coach Markus Gisdol.
His predecessor Beierlorzer on many occasions did not have the much-needed dose of luck to achieve the desired results. After all, Koln recorded his last defeat in an even match with the currently brilliant Hoffenheim by receiving a decisive goal in the final seconds of refereeing after a completely unnecessary penalty kick. Against Leipzig there will certainly be no injured midfielders Clemens and Koziel.
Probable lineup: Horn, Ehizibue, Bornauw, Czichos, Hector, Skhiri, Schindler, Verstraete, Schaub, Drexler, Cordoba.
This looks an easy one to predict. The Leipzig goals in the Bundesliga are nearly three per match. We believe they will maintain that average and hit the away net three times. Koln doesn’t even stand the chance.
