Speaking of the flow of talent towards the English Premier League, it would be difficult to ignore the decision of Zinedine Zidane to make his first steps in the EPL. But rather than confirming the news the former Real Madrid coach may now be considering a future in the League. And yet, such rumors have been dismissed.
Perusing the French media is indeed exciting and it offers a valuable insight. Take for instance L’Equipe. The publication has claimed that Mr. Zidane could be Manchester United’s head.
While Mr. Zidane is still out of football, he may be returning in quite the fashion. However, who is to confirm that Mr. Zidane will indeed be the new overseer of Old Trafford? With him denying the rumors, not much substance remains to it, but an off chance may still be there.
And Now Manchester Is in the Spotlight
Manchester United have made their debut quite evident in the EPL. Even though they struggled a wee bit to set the rhythm, their game wasn’t quite out of the ordinary when they met Leicester. Of course, Leicester is not quite up there with Manchester, but the simple fact is that Manchester have managed to recuperate after their poor pre-season. And whilst this is definitely good news, the Red Devils will need much more to succeed.
When they competed with Liverpool last season, they finished a fair number of points behind, which is a feat they must not repeat if they are to be taken seriously. And yet, Manchester seem upbeat.
Talking about Zidane though, there has been no indication that the footballer will indeed made his inaugural season in the EPL as a coach. And why would Mr. Zidane want to leave his Sabbatical?
Following his retirement from football, he has been enjoying quite the life. Scouring sources in the media for more information about Mr. Zidane’s possible return to football, we have been unable to find any hint of the news in neither German nor Russian media and we consider the network of these two specific target languages to be vast enough to provide with sufficient prove in either for or against the argument by L’Equipe.
So, Where’s the Truth?
The truth will prove as elusive as ever until we know the facts. Mr. Zidane may indeed be considering his return. His rise to a manager of Real Madrid also occurred under unlikely circumstances. A long-time Juventus footballer he moved on to other European clubs but not as a footballer. Rather, he assumed a managerial position which corresponded with his experience and age.
Even though we cannot confirm nor disprove the news, Mr. Zidane at the helm of an English team will be immensely fun to watch. With quite the experience he has proven himself to be quite the expert.
What could the Red Devils learn from the Southerner? Who knows. Perhaps a bit about being a bit more impulsive on the team. Overcoming their pre-seasonal shyness doesn’t sound like a bad bargain for the Red Devils, though.
