Checking the Odds, Making a Decision
Bournemouth must not be underestimated. With two victories of their own the team has shown what it is capable of – time and again. There is nothing stopping them from truly making a difference at the upcoming game. For the most part, you will notice that Bournemouth have volatile offensive. They are capable of turning a bad ball into a meteoric attack which a few teams are able to cope with. Hence their standing with 2 victories and a single draw in the tournament so far.
Bournemouth also seem to have rather better-than-average defense. The goalkeeper is kept in company of skilled backs who manage to coordinate themselves well enough and we will see a repeat of this scenario today probably.
Let’s be honest, though. Bournemouth have not yet played a team of the class of Chelsea. West Ham are at the bottom of the rankings. Cardiff City were routed by a number of high-paced teams, and Everton’s game was a hard-won draft. Two red cards were shown then, so this is not really great for the team.
Still, Bournemouth seem to have what it takes – they are in the making of a great roster that will be able to take on Manchester United and other falling teams.
However, to claim the title, the team will most certainly have to do what is expected from it – overcome the pressure that is facing now from Chelsea.
Chelsea All Good and Ready to Go
The blues from Chelsea are prepared to treat Bournemouth seriously. Their defense has been giving up on occasion but they have been compensating for it with great midfielders allowing them versatility and flexibility. The odds of the team winning are as follow:
- Chelsea to win 2-0: 6/1
- Bournemouth to win 3-0: 125/1
- Eden Hazard to score last: 7/2
- Olivier Giroud to score: 11/10
These odds are definitely interesting to behold. They are from a rival bookie, but we estimate that they are quite accurate up to a point. Chelsea definitely has a chance to win 2-0, but then again if Bournemouth homes in on the weaknesses that the team has been showing – oh dear us! Chelsea will be in a world of trouble and pain.
We don’t expect Bournemouth to win, but if they do, this will be one of the best matches we have witnessed, hands down. It’s definitely the highlight of the day and it will carry the most weight in the competition.
With this in mind, we wish Bournemouth good luck! It would be nice to see them take on the mid-level teams. We will bring you the updates following the match itself!
